3D Sinnovations, a leading Australian 3D printer manufacturer donated three (3) units of Mega Prusa Starter Kits to U.P. Diliman. The recipients of the donation are U.P. Diliman colleges, namely the College of Fine Arts, College of Architecture, and the College of Home Economics.
The donation was arranged by the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) and a formal turnover ceremony of the donations to the Office of the Chancellor was held on September 23, 2014 at The Executive House. The short ceremony was attended by Chancellor Michael L. Tan, 3D Sinnovations president Mr. Thomas Chow, 3D Stuffmaker president Mr. Rob Grosche, OICA Director Jose Danilo A. Silvestre and the college Deans – Arch. Mary Ann A. Espina of the College of Architecture, Prof. Leonardo C. Rosete of the College of Fine Arts, and Dr. Aurorita T. Roldan of the College of Home Economics.
Prior to the turnover, a 3D Printing Workshop attended by thirty (30) faculty and students from the three colleges was held at the UP College of Architecture on September 22, 2014.
