Let’s talk about the Filipino body.
How do we see it? How do we perform it?
Why should we converse about something so mundane, something so familiar?
In consonance with the Philippine National Arts Month, UP Diliman celebrates the Filipino body as a creative realm and a locus of scholarly discourse through the UP Diliman Festival of Culture and the Arts (UPD FOCA) 2018 themed “Kat(h)awan: Bodies, Culture, Society.”
The UPD FOCA 2018 is a festivity of poetry, theatre, visual arts, dance, music, installation exhibits, film showings and conferences.
The celebration is made possible by the UPD Office of the Chancellor, Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, the University of Amsterdam and the International Federation for Theatre Research, in partnership with the Diliman Information Office, University Theater Complex, Asian Center, Asian Institute of Tourism, College of Architecture , College of Arts and Letters, College of Fine Arts, College of Home Economics, College of Human Kinetics, College of Mass Communication, College of Music, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy and the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino.
